Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women

• Established in 1920, organized at the urging of U.S. Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to affiliate with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW)
• At the requests of the Bishops, the first Council created an Endowment Fund for the Seminary-the project became a beacon for the Seminarians and still contributes to the Seminary today as the Catholic Clerical Student Fund (CCSF)
• Is a volunteer organization inviting members to respond to Christ’s call to serve others
• Works through Archdiocesan Catholic Women’s Affiliates, Organizations & Ministries
• The G-H ACCW is an "umbrella" of All Catholic Women Affiliates, Organizations & Ministries in the Archdiocese
