G-H ACCW Galveston-Houston Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women
Established in 1920, organized at the urging of U.S. Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to affiliate with the National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW)
At the requests of the Bishops, the first Council created an Endowment Fund for the Seminary-the project became a beacon for the Seminarians and still contributes to the Seminary today as the Catholic Clerical Student Fund (CCSF)
Is a volunteer organization inviting members to respond to Christ’s call to serve others
Works through Archdiocesan Catholic Women’s Affiliates, Organizations & Ministries
The G-H ACCW is an "umbrella"of All Catholic Women Affiliates, Organizations & Ministries in the Archdiocese
